Uehara Re-Signs
The Boston Red Sox signed closer Koji Uehara to a two-year extension through the 2016 season. The extension is worth $18 million. In his career, Uehara has appeared in 294 games with the Baltimore Orioles, Texas Rangers, and Red Sox. The 39-year-old has a career record of (15-15) with a 2.44 ERA and 61 saves. Uehara was a first-time All Star selection in 2014.
