Royals Sign Casey Kotchman
The Kansas City Royals signed first baseman Casey Kotchman to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Kotchman, 32, has played in 939 career games for the Angels, Braves, Red Sox, Mariners, Rays, Indians, and Marlins. He has a career batting average of .260 with 71 home runs and 388 runs batted in.
