Indians Sign Michael Martinez
The Cleveland Indians signed infielder Michael Martinez to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Martinez, 32, has played in 188 career games for the Philadelphia Phillies and Pittsburgh Pirates. He has a career batting average of .181 with five home runs and 36 runs batted in.
