The Cincinnati Reds released pitcher Jose Mijares. Mijares, 30, has pitched in 324 career games for the Minnesota Twins, Kansas City Royals, and San Francisco Giants. He has a career record of (6-11) with a 3.23 ERA. He won the World Series with the Giants in 2012.
