The Boston Red Sox released pitcher Mitchell Boggs. Boggs, 31, has pitched in 241 career games for the St. Louis Cardinals and Colorado Rockies. He has a career record of (13-15) with a 4.12 ERA and six saves. He won the World Series as a member of the Cardinals in 2011.
