Astros Acquire Conger

The Houston Astros have acquired catcher Hank Conger from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for catcher Carlos Perez and pitcher Nick Tropeano. Conger, 28, has played in 251 career games with the Angels and has registered a batting average of .224 with 17 home runs and 71 runs batted in. Perez, 24, spent the 2014 season in Triple-A with the Oklahoma City Redhawks where he registered a batting average of .259 with six home runs and 34 RBI in 88 games. Tropeano made his Major League debut with the Astros in 2014 where he pitched in four games and compiled a record of (1-3) with a 4.57 ERA.
