Dodgers Sign Mike Carp

The Los Angeles Dodgers signed first baseman/outfielder Mike Carp to a minor league contract. If he is called up to the Major League roster, he will make $1.1 million. Carp, 28, has played in 318 career games for the Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox, and Texas Rangers. He has a career batting average of .254 with 27 home runs and 127 runs batted in. He won the World Series as a member of the Red Sox in 2013.
