Rangers Acquire Josh Hamilton
The Texas Rangers acquired outfielder Josh Hamilton and cash considerations from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations. Hamilton, 33, has played in 977 career games for the Cincinnati Reds, Texas Rangers, and Los Angeles Angels. He has a career batting average of .292 with 192 home runs and 676 runs batted in. He is a five-time All Star selection, a three-time Silver Slugger Award winner, and the 2010 American League MVP. Also, he was the 2010 American League Championship Series MVP.
