Pirates Acquire Antonio Bastardo
The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired pitcher Antonio Bastardo from the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for pitcher Joely Rodriguez. Bastardo, 29, has pitched in 275 career games for the Phillies. He has a career record of (20-18) with a 3.72 ERA and 11 saves. Rodriguez, 23, spent the 2014 season with Double-A Altoona. In 30 games, he compiled a record of (6-11) with a 4.84 ERA and one save. He also pitched two complete games.
