Pirates Sign Corey Hart
The Pittsburgh Pirates signed first baseman/outfielder Corey Hart to a one-year contract with a $2.5 million base salary. Hart, 33 in March, has played in 1013 career games for the Milwaukee Brewers and Seattle Mariners. He has a career batting average of .271 with 160 home runs and 529 runs batted in. He was selected to 2008 and 2010 All Star Games as a member of the Brewers.
