Cubs Acquire Miguel Montero

The Chicago Cubs acquired catcher Miguel Montero from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for pitchers Zack Godley and Jeferson Mejia. Montero, 31, has played in 906 career games with the Diamondbacks. He has a career batting average of .264 with 97 home runs and 448 runs batted in. Godley, 24, split the 2014 season with Class-A Kane County and Class-A Daytona. In 40 games, he compiled a record of (4-3) with a 3.09 ERA and 15 saves. Mejia, 20, spent the 2014 season with the Arizona League Cubs, the Cubs' Rookie League team. In 12 games, he compiled a record of (2-4) with a 2.48 ERA.
