Athletics Trade Brandon Moss
The Cleveland Indians acquired outfielder Brandon Moss from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for infielder Joe Wendle. Moss, 31, has played in 625 career games with the Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies, and Oakland Athletics. He has a career batting average of .248 with 91 home runs and 298 runs batted in. He was selected to his first All Star Game in 2014. Wendle, 24, split the 2014 season with the Arizona League Indians, the Indians' Rookie League Team, and the Akron RubberDucks, the Indians' Double-A affiliate. In 93 games, he hit .265 with eight home runs and 54 runs batted in.
