Dodgers Acquire Howie Kendrick
The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired infielder Howie Kendrick from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for pitcher Alex Heaney. Kendrick, 31, has played in 1081 career games for the Angels. He has a career batting average of .292 with 78 home runs and 501 runs batted in. He was a 2011 All Star selection as a member of the Angels. Heaney, 23, had just been acquired by the Dodgers in the trade that sent Dee Gordon to the Marlins. Heaney made his Major League debut with the Marlins in 2014 where he went (0-3) with a 5.83 ERA in seven games.
