Rangers Sign Two to Minors Deals
The Texas Rangers signed pitcher Mason Tobin and first baseman Mike McDade to minor league contracts with invitations to spring training. Tobin, 27, made his Major League debut with the Rangers in 2011. In four games, he did not register a decision, but he had a 6.75 ERA. McDade, 25, split the 2014 season with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, and the Buffalo Bisons, the Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. In 85 games, he hit .242 with seven home runs and 36 runs batted in.
