Orioles Acquire Travis Snider
The Baltimore Orioles acquired outfielder Travis Snider from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for pitcher Stephen Tarpley and a player to be named later. Snider, 27 on Monday, has played in 543 career games for the Toronto Blue Jays and Pittsburgh Pirates. He has a career batting average of .246 with 50 home runs and 184 runs batted in. Tarpley, 22 on February 17, spent the 2014 season with Class-A Aberdeen. In 13 games, he compiled a record of (3-5) with a 3.68 ERA.
