The San Diego Padres signed pitcher Daniel McCutchen to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. McCutchen, 32, has pitched in 109 career games for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Texas Rangers. He has a career record of (8-11) with a 4.81 ERA.
