Red Sox Sign Two to Minors Deals
The Boston Red Sox signed infielder Jeff Bianchi and catcher Luke Montz to minor league contracts with invitations to spring training. Bianchi, 28, has played in 162 career games for the Milwaukee Brewers. He has a career batting average of .216 with four home runs and 40 runs batted in. Montz, 31, has played in 23 career games for the Washington Nationals and Oakland Athletics. He has a career batting average of .163 with two home runs and eight runs batted in.
