Braves Release Two
The Atlanta Braves released pitcher Chien-Ming Wang and outfielder Joe Benson. Wang, 35, has pitched in 136 career games for the Yankees, Nationals, and Blue Jays. He has a career record of (62-34) with a 4.37 ERA and one save. He has pitched four complete games in his career and one of them was a shutout. He has not appeared in a Major League game since the 2013 season. Benson, 27, made his Major League debut with the Minnesota Twins in the 2011 season. In 21 games, he hit .239 with no home runs and two runs batted in. He has not appeared in a Major League game since.
