Braves Acquire Bronson Arroyo in Three-Player Trade

The Atlanta Braves acquired pitchers Bronson Arroyo (left) and Touki Toussaint from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for infielder Philip Gosselin (right). Arroyo, 38, has pitched in 405 career games for the Pirates, Red Sox, Reds, and Diamondbacks. He has a career record of (145-131) with a 4.19 ERA and one save. He has pitched 16 complete games in his career and six of them were shutouts. He was selected to his first All Star Game in the 2006 season as a member of the Cincinnati Reds. He won a Gold Glove Award in 2010 and he won the World Series in the 2004 season as a member of the Boston Red Sox. Toussaint, 19, has pitched in seven games this season with Class-A Kane County. He has a record of (2-2) with a 3.69 ERA. He was the Diamondbacks' first round draft pick last year. Gosselin, 26, has played in 70 career games for the Braves. He has a career batting average of .282 with one home run and five runs batted in.
