Mariners Acquire Mark Trumbo in Six-Player Deal

The Seattle Mariners acquired first baseman/outfielder Mark Trumbo and pitcher Vidal Nuno from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for catcher Welington Castillo, pitcher Dominic Leone, infielder Jack Reinheimer, and outfielder Gabby Guerrero. Trumbo, 29, has played in 594 career games for the Angels and Diamondbacks. He has a career batting average of .248 with 118 home runs and 368 runs batted in. He was selected to his first All Star Game in 2012 as a member of the Los Angeles Angels. Nuno, 27, has pitched in 39 career games for the Yankees and Diamondbacks. He has a career record of (3-15) with a 4.13 ERA. Castillo, 28, has played in 318 career games for the Cubs and Mariners. He has a career batting average of .250 with 29 home runs and 112 runs batted in. Leone, 23, has pitched in 67 career games for the Mariners. He has a career record of (8-6) with a 2.78 ERA. Reinheimer, 22, has played in 48 games with Double-A Jackson this season. He is hitting .277 with one home run and 16 runs batted in. Guerrero, 21, has also played in 48 games for Double-A Jackson this season. He is hitting .215 with two home runs and 15 runs batted in.
