Yankees Acquire Didi Gregorius in Three-Team Trade

The New York Yankees acquired infielder Didi Gregorius from the Arizona Diamondbacks as part of a three-team trade. Pitcher Robbie Ray and infielder Domingo Leyba were dealt from the Detroit Tigers to the Diamondbacks and pitcher Shane Greene was traded from the Yankees to the Tigers. Gregorius, 25 in February, has played in 191 career games with the Reds and Diamondbacks. He has a career batting average of .243 with 13 home runs and 57 runs batted in. Ray, 23, made his Major League debut in 2014 with the Tigers. In nine games, he compiled a record of (1-4) with an 8.16 ERA. Lyeba, 19, split the 2014 season with Class-A Connecticut and Class-A West Michigan. In 67 games, he hit .323 with two home runs and 24 runs batted in. Greene, 26, made his Major League debut with the Yankees in 2014. In 15 games, he compiled a record of (5-4) with a 3.78 ERA.
