Yankees Acquire David Carpenter in Three-Player Trade

The New York Yankees acquired pitchers David Carpenter and Chasen Shreve from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for pitcher Manny Banuelos. Carpenter, 29, has pitched in 188 career games for the Astros, Blue Jays, and Braves. He has a career record of (11-10) with a 3.62 ERA and four saves. Shreve, 24, made his Major League debut with the Braves in 2014. In 15 games, he did not register a decision, but he had a 0.73 ERA. Banuelos, 24 in March, split the 2014 season with Class-A Tampa, Double-A Trenton, and Triple-A Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. In 26 games, he compiled a record of (2-3) with a 4.11 ERA.
