Brewers Release Kirkman, Murphy
The Milwaukee Brewers released pitcher Michael Kirkman and infielder Donnie Murphy. Kirkman, 28, has pitched in 94 career games for the Rangers. He has a career record of (2-6) with a 4.98 ERA and one save. Murphy, 32, has played in 335 career games for the Royals, Athletics, Marlins, Cubs, and Rangers. He has a career batting average of .212 with 33 home runs and 119 runs batted in.
