Astros Acquire Oliver Perez
The Houston Astros acquired pitcher Oliver Perez from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for pitcher Junior Garcia. Perez, 33, has pitched in 416 career games for the Padres, Pirates, Mets, Mariners, and Diamondbacks. He has a career record of (67-80) with a 4.42 ERA and two saves. He has pitched three complete games in his career and two of them were shutouts. Garcia, 19, has split this season with Rookie League Greeneville and Class-A Tri-City. In nine games, he has compiled a record of (3-1) with a 0.96 ERA.
