Jose Valverde Suspended
Free agent pitcher Jose Valverde was suspended for 80 games due to the use of performance-enhancing drugs. Valverde, 37, has pitched in 626 career games for the Diamondbacks, Astros, Tigers, and Mets. He has a career record of (27-33) with a 3.27 ERA and 288 saves. He is a three-time All Star selection.
