Rangers Acquire Mike Napoli

The Texas Rangers acquired first baseman Mike Napoli and cash considerations from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations. Napoli, 33, has played in 1083 career games for the Angels, Rangers, and Red Sox. He has a career batting average of .253 with 199 home runs and 567 runs batted in. He was selected to his first All Star Game in the 2012 season as a member of the Texas Rangers and he won the World Series as a member of the Boston Red Sox in the 2013 season.
