Braves Acquire Bourn, Swisher for Johnson

The Atlanta Braves acquired outfielders Michael Bourn and Nick Swisher and cash considerations from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for infielder Chris Johnson. Bourn, 32, has played in 1202 career games for the Phillies, Astros, Braves, and Indians. He has a career batting average of .267 with 31 home runs and 312 runs batted in. He is a two-time All Star selection and a two-time Gold Glove Award winner. Swisher, 34, has played in 1481 career games for the Athletics, White Sox, Yankees, and Indians. He has a career batting average of .250 with 241 home runs and 786 runs batted in. He was selected to his first All Star Game in the 2010 season as a member of the New York Yankees and he won the World Series with the Yankees in 2009. Johnson, 30, has played in 699 career games for the Astros, Diamondbacks, and Braves. He has a career batting average of .280 with 57 home runs and 308 runs batted in.
