Braves Sign Jose Veras
The Atlanta Braves signed pitcher Jose Veras to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Veras, 34, has pitched in 440 career games for the New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians, Florida Marlins, Pittsburgh Pirates, Milwaukee Brewers, Houston Astros, Detroit Tigers, and the Chicago Cubs. He has a career record (23-23) with a 3.91 ERA and 27 saves.
