Rangers Sign Elliot Johnson
The Texas Rangers signed infielder Elliot Johnson to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Johnson, 31 on March 9, has played in 318 career games for the Tampa Bay Rays, Kansas City Royals, Atlanta Braves, and Cleveland Indians. He has a career batting average of .215 with 12 home runs and 69 runs batted in.
