Rays Sign Two to Minors Deals
The Tampa Bay Rays signed pitcher Ronald Belisario and infielder Alexi Casilla to minor league contracts with an invitation to spring training. Belisario, 32, has pitched in 335 career games for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox. He has a career record of (24-20) with a 3.75 ERA and 12 saves. He had a deal in place to sign with the Toronto Blue Jays, but the deal fell through. Casilla, 30, has played in 578 career games for the Minnesota Twins and Baltimore Orioles. He has a career batting average of .247 with 12 home runs and 157 runs batted in.
