Jason Giambi Retires

Former Major League first baseman and designated hitter Jason Giambi has retired. Giambi, 44, played in 2260 career games for the Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees, Colorado Rockies, and Cleveland Indians. He has a career batting average of .277 with 440 home runs and 1441 runs batted in. He is a five-time All Star selection, a two-time Silver Slugger Award winner, and the 2000 American League MVP.
