Blue Jays Sign Johan Santana
The Toronto Blue Jays signed pitcher Johan Santana to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Santana, 36 on March 13, has pitched in 360 career games for the Minnesota Twins and New York Mets. He has a career record of (139-78) with a 3.20 ERA and one save. He pitched 15 complete games and 10 of them were shutouts. He is a four-time All Star selection, the 2004 and 2006 American League Cy Young Award winner, and a 2007 Gold Glove Award winner.
