Rangers Sign Nate Schierholtz
The Texas Rangers signed outfielder Nate Schierholtz to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. Schierholtz, 31 on February 15, has played in 799 career games for the San Francisco Giants, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs, and Washington Nationals. He has a career batting average of .253 with 52 home runs and 228 runs batted in. He won the World Series with the Giants in 2010.
