Mets Sign David Cooper
The New York Mets signed first baseman David Cooper to a minor league contract. Cooper, 28, has played in 72 career games for the Toronto Blue Jays. He has a career batting average of .270 with six home runs and 23 runs batted in. He has not appeared in a Major League game since the 2012 season.
