Angels, Royals Swap Butera, Jackson
The Kansas City Royals acquired catcher Drew Butera from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for infielder Ryan Jackson. Butera, 31, has played in 261 career games for the Minnesota Twins, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Los Angeles Angels. He has a career batting average of .183 with eight home runs and 55 runs batted in. Jackson, 26, has played in 20 career games for the St. Louis Cardinals. He has a career batting average of .083 with no home runs and no runs batted in.
