Marlins Sign Two

The Miami Marlins signed pitcher Travis Blackley and catcher Jesus Flores to minor league contracts. Blackley, 32, has pitched in 82 career games for the Mariners, Giants, Athletics, Astros, and Rangers. He has a career record of (9-9) with a 5.23 ERA. He has not appeared in a Major League game since the 2013 season. Flores, 30, has played in 311 career games for the Washington Nationals. He has a career batting average of .241 with 23 home runs and 127 runs batted in. He has not appeared in a Major League game since the 2012 season.
