Braves Sign Nick Masset, Designate John Cornely for Assignment
The Atlanta Braves signed pitcher Nick Masset. Masset, 33, has pitched in 367 career games for the Rangers, White Sox, Reds, Rockies, and Marlins. He has a career record of (18-14) with a 3.97 ERA and four saves. To make room, the Braves designated pitcher John Cornely for assignment. Cornely, 26, made his Major League debut with the Braves this season. In one game, he did not register a decision, but he has a 36.00 ERA.
