Braves, Dodgers Make Six-Player Trade

The Atlanta Braves acquired infielder Juan Uribe and pitcher Chris Withrow from the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for infielder Alberto Callaspo and pitchers Juan Jaime, Eric Stults, and Ian Thomas. Uribe, 36, has played in 1663 career games for the Rockies, White Sox, Giants, and Dodgers. He has a career batting average of .257 with 179 home runs and 754 runs batted in. He won the World Series as a member of the White Sox in 2005 and the Giants in 2010. Withrow, 26, has pitched in 46 career games for the Dodgers. He has a career record of (3-0) with a 2.73 ERA and one save. Callaspo, 32, has played in 1033 career games for the Diamondbacks, Royals, Angels, Athletics, and Braves. He has a career batting average of .265 with 52 home runs and 362 runs batted in. Jaime, 27, has pitched in 18 career games for the Braves. He has a career record of (0-1) with a 5.93 ERA. Stults, 35, has pitched in 135 career games for the Dodgers, Rockies, White Sox, Padres, and Braves. He has a career record of (36-48) with a 4.24 ERA. He has pitched four complete games in his career and two of them were shutouts. Thomas, 28, has pitched in 21 career games for the Braves. He has a career record of (1-2) with a 3.94 ERA.
