Blue Jays Sign Joel Pineiro
The Toronto Blue Jays signed pitcher Joel Pineiro to a minor league contract. Pineiro, 36, has pitched in 335 career games for the Mariners, Red Sox, Cardinals, and Angels. He has a career record of (104-93) with a 4.41 ERA and two saves. He has pitched 15 complete games in his career and six of them were shutouts. He has not appeared in a Major League game since the 2011 season.
