Cubs, Mariners Swap Castillo, Medina
The Seattle Mariners acquired catcher Welington Castillo from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for pitcher Yoervis Medina. Castillo, 28, has played in 310 career games for the Cubs. He has a career batting average of .252 with 29 home runs and 110 runs batted in. Medina, 26, has pitched in 141 career games for the Mariners. He has a career record of (10-9) with a 2.82 ERA and two saves.
