Giants Sign Two to Minor League Contracts
The San Francisco Giants signed outfielder Engel Beltre and infielder/outfielder Jeff Kobernus to minor league contracts. Beltre, 25, made his Major League debut with the Texas Rangers in the 2013 season. In 22 games, he hit .250 with no home runs and one run batted in. He has not appeared in a Major League game since. Kobernus, 26, has played in 28 career games for the Washington Nationals. He has a career batting average of .139 with one home run and one run batted in.
