The Philadelphia Phillies designated outfielder Grady Sizemore for assignment. Sizemore, 32, has played in 1043 career games for the Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, and Philadelphia Phillies. He has a career batting average of .265 with 144 home runs and 491 runs batted in. He is a three-time All Star selection.
