Red Sox Acquire John Cornely
The Boston Red Sox acquired pitcher John Cornely from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for cash considerations. Cornely, 26, made his Major League debut with the Braves this season. In one game, he did not register a decision, but he had a 36.00 ERA. He was designated for assignment by the Braves yesterday.
