Nationals Re-Sign a Pair
The Washington Nationals have re-signed pitcher Manny Delcarmen and infielder Emmanuel Burriss to minor league contracts with invitations to spring training. Delcarmen, 33 in February, has pitched in 298 games with the Boston Red Sox and Colorado Rockies. In his career, Delcarmen has compiled a record of (11-8) with a 3.97 ERA and three saves. Delcarmen has not pitched in the Major Leagues since the 2010 season. Burriss, 30 in January, has played in 282 games with the San Francisco Giants. In his career, Burriss has a .243 batting average with one home run and 42 runs batted in.
