Pirates Acquire Cervelli
The Pittsburgh Pirates have acquired catcher Francisco Cervelli from the New York Yankees in exchange for pitcher Justin Wilson. Cervelli, 29 in March, has played in 250 games in seven seasons with the Yankees. In his career, Cervelli has a batting average of .278 with 10 home runs and 92 runs batted in. Wilson, 27, has appeared in 136 games in three seasons with the Pirates. Wilson has compiled a record of (9-5) with a 2.99 ERA.
