Rays Designate Molina For Assignment
The Tampa Bay Rays designated catcher Jose Molina for assignment. Molina, 39, is the middle of three brothers with Bengie as the oldest and Yadier as the youngest. He has played in 947 career games with the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Angels, New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, and Rays. Molina has a career batting average of .233 with 39 home runs and 223 runs batted in.
