Athletics Designate Two for Assignment
The Oakland Athletics designated pitcher Josh Lindblom and outfielder Kyle Blanks for assignment. Lindblom, 27, has pitched in 110 career games with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers, and Oakland Athletics. He has a career record of (5-8) with a 3.82 ERA and one save. Blanks, 28, has played in 260 career games with the San Diego Padres and Oakland Athletics. He has a career batting average of .234 with 30 home runs and 105 runs batted in.
