Athletics Sign Butler
The Oakland Athletics signed designated hitter Billy Butler to a three-year deal worth $30 million. Butler, 28, has a career batting average of .295 with 127 home runs and 628 RBI in 1166 games with the Kansas City Royals. Butler was a 2012 All Star selection and he won a Silver Slugger Award in the same year.
Very good pickup for the A's. They should be just as exciting next year.
