The Detroit Tigers re-signed closer Joel Hanrahan to a one-year contract. Hanrahan, 33, missed the entire 2014 season after getting Tommy John surgery. In 362 career games with the Washington Nationals, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Boston Red Sox, Hanrahan has a career record of (22-18) with a 3.85 ERA and 100 saves. Hanrahan was also a 2011 and 2012 All Star selection as a member of the Pirates.

  1. How much is he getting paid this upcoming season? I would think about $6-$8 million. Again it is crazy that baseball players get paid huge money, even when they come off of surgery. Never heard of this player before. Hope he performs better than what his numbers state. A very low risk for the Tigers.
