Jamey Carroll Retires
Former Major League infielder Jamey Carroll has retired. Carroll, 41 in February, has played in 1276 for the Montreal Expos, Washington Nationals, Colorado Rockies, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Dodgers, Minnesota Twins, and Kansas City Royals. He has a career batting average of .272 with 13 home runs and 265 runs batted in. He will now serve as a special assistant to the baseball operations staff for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
